Hello, hello! I’m writing this post to let you know about the beginning of the Thought Mixing Bowl podcast! Each episode I’ll be chatting with a different creator about their creative life and the arts in general. Just like the regular questions on the blog, the idea is to hear from other creatives in the process of “making it”. I find it interesting to hear from people in the fray and not those reflecting back on 10 years ago. I hope the podcast will act as an extension of the blog and help create a platform where tips, ideas, and philosophies are openly shared to help the up-and-coming creatives make the world a better place. I’m excited about this endeavor and I’ve already had the chance to sit down with a handful of great people. I’ll be posting the episodes on the blog, SoundCloud (follow me here), and on iTunes (subscribe here or just search for Thought Mixing Bowl on iTunes). The first episode is below. Take a listen and let me know any thoughts, questions, or suggestions you might have about the podcast and where you’d like to see it go.
For the first episode I chatted with Pennsylvania-based graphic designer and aspiring production designer Desiree Zielinski. We talk about her daily task of making advertisements in a fast paced environment, striking out on the path to make it in the entertainment industry, her experience with HitRecord, and other ideas revolving around creativity and art.
